I’m more of a sketch artist and don’t really like how i’m not as in control with a paint brush as i am with a pencil. That’s what interests me about pastels and colored pencils. I’ve never used either one and have no clue which is better. I would be using them to make animal portraits. Any ideas on what I need to use?

I know oils would take to long to dry and secondly that looks a bit too messy. Acrylic may look flat and chip off.

I’ve rescently came across photoshop and i have NO CLUE how to use it. How do i use photoshop to color a drawing or sketch that i’ve made. If not then does any one know where theres a tutorial in shading, colors, highlights, and basics in coloring an image or drawing somewhere on the net?. Much thanks appreciated.
